Buying art can be a big deal

I know. I think long and hard before I buy an original artwork. I buy something because of how it makes me feel🥰. The raw and bold styles of Outsider art make me feel seen and understood, and my buyers think so too.

I feel you’ll enjoy the vibrancy and texture of these original pieces:

the slight rise of the dots around Lemon Lady’s stacked yellows and greens ;

the blue and green shimmer on the lips of ‘Bloody’;

the deep grooves in ‘You’re My Miró’!

Do you love it? And how will it look on your wall? (Apple users can now enjoy an AR (augmented reality) experience that lets you visualise an artwork on your home or office wall. Just go to any product and find the AR link 👓🔗)

Would you like to discuss an aspect of the painting? Would you like to see something closer to your budget? Please contact me. I have plenty of very cool original pieces offline that suit what you have in mind, so get in contact with me here or call me

Based in Ireland and want to see something in person before deciding? Great, let’s organise a no-obligation viewing 🙏

So what happens next?

I take great care with your original piece because there is only one! To ship it, I am obliged to use a courier service - original works of art are on a ‘prohibited items’ list, meaning that most national postal services will not insure or carry them. For this reason, I am happy to cover the cost of shipping originals. I include its Certificate of Authenticity, dated and signed by myself.

  • Your hand made original artwork comes to you varnished against dust and degradation. I varnish the heavyweight coated paper with several light coats of archival quality varnish from respected brands ‘Golden’ and ‘Gamblin’. This makes your artwork durable and helps protect against UV light degradation and dust.

  • It is unmounted and unframed.

  • It is recommended that you frame your original artwork under glass to protect it. If you’d prefer me to ship your original to you already framed, contact me here and I’ll work out a free no-obligation quote.

  • Packing and shipping

    • after varnish is completely dry, I pack it personally. To protect against water and damage in transit, I first wrap in professional glassine paper suitable for fine art. Then I wrap in bubble wrap, and place into a corrugated board mailing box. Then I add padding around the edges to keep the painting from moving too much in transit. .

    • I prepare a signed and dated certificate of authentication for your chosen original. This gets popped into the package.

    • I double-check your address and phone number (thank you!)

    • I then bring it to my local DHL courier. Why courier? Because standard post will not carry original artwork - it is on the ‘prohibited items’ list for most countries, and is neither carried nor insured.

    • I complete the delivery and customs forms and pay for couriered delivery with tracking and insurance against loss or damage in transit. Once the package is on its way, I manually send you a confirmation email that gives you the estimated day of delivery and your tracking number). Please allow 3-5 working days for this dispatch email.

    • The courier delivery time may vary, but in general, it takes 1-3 working days to arrive to you.

And finally…

Your experience here is important to me.
